A special thanks for VHPA-Northern California Chapter President Jim Barger and his wife Teri, for coordinating our program at Mather Airforce Base; another thank you to Reid Rose for his organization of our program at Vanden High School. Both programs brought out tremendous support from the veteran community as well as the opprotunity to meet some fantastic kids in the JROTC program at Vanden High. Our day was capped off with a dinner program hosted by David Behring, Smithsonian Board Member; and Earl Conklin, a Robinhood Vietnam veteran. Veterans and members of our team were able to reflect upon the importance of this helicopter's educational mission, and its value as a symbol for all the veterans that have prepared to pay, or did pay, the ultimate price for our freedom.
